After the huge success of the downloadable title Toy Soldiers it was only a matter of time before we saw more. The addition is coming in the form of an add on titled the “Invasion Pack.” While the original version has it’s roots set firmly within World War I combat having the toy focus allows for a large dash of creative freedom and that is exactly what the Invasion Pack will provide.
Introducing World War II’s P-51 Mustang plane is a stretch but one that still fits in with the concept while the introduction of flying saucers, knights and space tanks is a clear indication of Signal Studios creative juices being in full flow. The pack will also contain a new mini campaign complete with a tough boss battle against RoboBob (an old styled toy robot) as well as 2 multiplayer maps and a new survival mode.

This is great! I love the WWI feel, but these are toys too! It’s the game play I love best! Bring on the tin Robots!
Lol couldn’t agree more
I’ve always been a fan of tower defence titles and I love the unique way that Toy Soldiers tackles the genre. In a genre where Plants vs Zombie is the big name I’d argue that Toy Soldiers is not only better made but as you say these are toys so the scope for what they can do is huge compared to anything else on the market.
